In conjunction with Toyota Canada, Forecast Ski Magazine produced a four-part video series, Beyond The Powder Highway, which features Alex Beaulieu-Marchand, Mike Riddle, Stan Rey and myself, road tripping to Rossland, Nelson, Sandon and Fernie in the Kootenay region of British Columbia. First stop, Red Mountain Resort, with a guest appearance by local go-getter Jonathan Rollins.
For the second episode of Forecast Ski Magazine’s four-part video series, Beyond The Powder Highway, Alex Beaulieu-Marchand, Mike Riddle, Stan Rey and myself continue our road trip through the Kootenay region of British Columia by heading northeast to Nelson, where we link up with unsung superstar Sam Kuch at Whitewater Ski Resort.
In the third episode Beyond The Powder Highway, we opt to stay put in Nelson for the 48 centimetres of fresh that fell on Whitewater Ski Resort’s closing day, before continuing their road trip through the Kootenay region of British Columbia with a visit to the legendary ghost town of Sandon.
For the fourth and final episode of Forecast Magazine’s Beyond The Powder Highway, we finish our two-week road trip through the Kootenay region of British Columbia at Fernie Alpine Resort, where we link up with local legend Dylan Siggers for some serious hot dogging.
