I discovered this smoothie recipe while I was training in Bend, Oregon. I’ve never been much of a breakfast smoothie person, but this concoction has converted me.
– 1/2 banana (preferably frozen)
– 1/2 an apple
– big handful of fresh spinach
– 1/4 avocado
– juice of 1/2 a lemon
– 3 cm of ginger
– 2 teaspoons cinnamon
– 2 good splashes of coconut water
– few blocks of ice
And blend! To make it thicker and more filling you can also add some tahini or almond butter. Sometimes I also add chia seeds, desiccated coconut and/or almonds.
